Jivanya Reddy: Calgary Divorce Lawyer at Richmond Tymchuk Family Law

Jivanya brings a wealth of global experience to the Richmond Tymchuk Family Law team. After receiving her Bachelor of Laws Honours at University of Exetor in Devon, the United Kingdom she came back to Calgary, AB to practice family law.

Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Jivanya immigrated to Calgary with her parents in 2005. She completed her Radio, Television and Broadcast News diploma at SAIT, went on to complete a Communication Studies degree at the University of Calgary, and then went to the University of Exeter in Devon, the United Kingdom to complete a Bachelor of Law Honours.

With a strong belief in social justice and equity in practice and a desire to serve humanity, it was a natural fit for Jivanya to focus on family law and has done so since 2018.

Jivanya is an active volunteer and has worked in various organizations and initiatives including World Refugee Day, University of Calgary Translation Society, Citizenship Canada, Making Changes, The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth, and Calgary Immigrant Women's Association.

When she's not advocating for her clients she's keeping abreast of current events and world politics and looking out for the next place she wants to travel.
